Service Summary & Requirements

To ensure a smooth process, please read the following checklist carefully. This is a mail-in service, and the base price covers the professional installation labor for customer-provided parts. The return shipping cost will be included to the order when you checkout.

What You MUST Provide:

Your PlayStation 2 Console: You must supply your own console. If you own a PS2 Fat model, visit our HDMI Retro GEM Mod Install service for Fat PS2 consoles. Please ensure your console’s motherboard is compatible with the Retro GEM kit (see below for a list of compatible motherboards and the appropriate GEM kit for those models).

Required Components (Provide Your Own or Purchase from Us):

You have the option to send in your own components or purchase them directly through this service.

• Retro GEM Kit (Basic or Shiny):
  • If you have a kit: Select the “Install Only” service and include your pre-purchased Retro GEM kit when you ship your console.
  • If you need a kit: Select your console type, and choose either the “Basic Gem” or “Shiny Gem” option, and we will supply a brand new kit for the installation.
• Re-PS2 PSU Replacement (Required for all Fat installs): This mod requires a PSU upgrade for all PS2 Fat console models.
  • If you have a PSU: Select the “Provide My Own PSU” option. You must send both the internal Re-PS2 PSU replacement board AND the external power adapter with your console. Both parts are required so we can verify full functionality during installation and testing.
  • If you need a PSU: Select the “Add Re-PS2 PSU” option, and we will provide and install the complete power supply solution. This includes purchase and installation of the replacement PSU, and including the accompanying power adapter when we send back your modified PS2 console.

Instructions for send-ins

1. The sender’s name and address on the shipping label must match the shipping information you provide on this order, so we know it’s yours when we receive it.
2. Preferred shipping method is USPS Priority 3-Day with tracking number (about $25 for the large-size box).
3. Pack your console securely with bubble wrap or some type of material to protect it. We are not responsible for damages incurred during shipment!
4. Specific information on where to ship your console will be included in your confirmation email after placing your order; check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.
